"They" were returning from^eluiroh at Ruglau on tin* 2ith inst. by boat, which was proceeding under 3ail, ? when a squall of wind stvucli her, causing her suddenly to capsize. ?Mr A. Wallia and his aiste.r Gertrude, also another youiig man, were in the boat at the time of the accident, and but for the assistance lent by Mr Alphonso Nraham and his companion, some of theiyi would also have perished. Efforts are being wade to find tho bodies, but as vet they have been unsuccessful. The occurrence has cast quite a gloom over the community.
We learn from a> private source that the body of Mi3S Lavors was recovered on Tuesday morning, but that of Mr Wallis little daughter had not been recovered when out informant left. The efforts made by Mr A. Wallis to save his companions were most gallant, and almost cost him his life. When rescued he was insensible.
