The Inquest.

Au inquest on the remains of the unfortunate Mr Eentou, was held at (Jwynnulantls yosturday morning, before Mr W. N. Searaucke, coroner, and a jury of twelve, of which Mr H. \V. Moore was choseu foreman. A. llouton, bi other of deceased, do-, pobed to having seen the deceased about; 5.30 on Friday evening. William Hickcy deposed to having been at work near Fanthams corner. Saw deceased coming at a hand-gallop. The hoise turned shaiply round the corner. Saw deceased lose his seat in the saddle, and afterwards heard him fall. He immediately ran up to him, but found In in insensible. H. W. North croft deposed to having found deceased lying in the water-table. Blood was then issuing from his- left ear, and his face and eye were bady bruised. Sent previous witness into Cambridge for medical aid, and finding out where he lived had him conveyed to his home at Mr Stubbing's. Dr. Cushney, called by the police to attend deceased, deposed to having louud him it; bed uiieonooious, bicathing stertoiously. There ua& an abrasion over the left eye, which was closed and swollen. Attended him - duriug the night, and at 4 o'clock on the following morning sent for Dr. Waddington foi consultation. The latter agreed with him that there was a fracture on the ,base ot the skull. ' Death' ensued at 10.45 on Saturday morning. This was all the evidence, and the jury returned a verdict of accidental death. The funeral which was largely attended by the friends of the deceased took place yesterday afternoon.
