THE MYSTERIOUS DISAPPEARANCE AT ORAKAU. Recovery of Savage's Body. [BY TELEGRAPH. — OWN CORRESPONDENT.]
KiiiiKiiiT, Yesterday, 2.17 p.m. ' The body of the missing man Savage has just been discovered in the \Puniu by the natives, about a mile below where he was supposed to have crossed the river.
Latek. The body has now been' brought into Kihikihi by Constable Gillies. From its appearance and subsequent examination, there is no reason to believe he was subjected to foul play. His clothing is as complete as when he left home, his memobook was in his pocket, also 2s 2d in cash, with a pipe and tether rope. An inquest and 2>ost mortem will be held immediately.
