I The usual monthly meeting of the above body was held <afc' the Town BoarrlA Oftce, Cainbrklge,v on •, Monday nev.ening last. There were present :— Cr. T. Wells (chairman),, Hewitt, t _ and,. Nixon. On the motion of Cr. Nixon it wassgre_ed that ,the surfaceman ,be, instructed to make the necessary repairs. — A letter was received from Messrs' Whitaker and Sheehan, re the payment of witnesses in the case of Clements v. The Board, heard at Auckland in September last. Tradesmen were entitled to 15s a day,- and professional witnesses, ,w,ere flowed <£l Is. Mr Gwynneth's account ihey would reduce £2 10s 6d. Mr Richardson's account seemed a fair one. The t other .account they suggested should'b'e paid according to f the .registrar's scale.— On the motion 'otfCr. "Nixon it wad Agreed Sfiat^the fitnesses be paid as suggested by the board's solicitors. ,„ -.,-.. Kauavxro .BBrDGE Account's. — On the motion >of Cr. Nixon, it was agreed that all accounts rendered for work^lone to the Karapiro bridge, be , paid as rendered, with the exception of the Waikato Steam Navigation Company's which, should be paid minus a contia of £2^.— Agreed.to. , . i j • The Board's ,Skal.— Some time ago suggestions were asked from a committee of tlvr.ce members of the Board in the matter of choosing an official seal for the Board. Monday evening last was fixed for the consideration of the various signs and suggestions. There waa' only one, however, submitted. — On thfc motion of Cr, Nixon, the design submitted was accepted, and the chairman was authorised to take the necessary steps in procuring the seal. ' Accounts. — Several small 'accounts were passed for payment, and this terminated the business.
