The Regatta. Acckcaxd, Last Nighfc. There is great excitement over the Maori war canoe race. This morning Te Wheoro applied for free passes for a number more natives from "Waikato. The request was granted by the manager of the railway. Application was made by the Whangarei natives for permission to enter two Maori canoes, but the request was refused by the 'regatta committee.

Arrival of English Ships. The ships Coromandel, Loch Fleet, and Loch Urr,* arrived from London to-day.
