Thkrk are evident signs that the Porte is uneasy at Earl Dufferin's mission to Egypt to conduct negotiations for the settlement of affairs in that country. Alexasdiua, November 2. Baker Pasha is re-enlisting a number of officers and men who fought under Arabi to serve in the expedition which is being despatched against the Soudan rebels. Intelligence is to hand that three Egyptian Beys who instigated the burning of Alexandria after the bombardment, and subsequently escaped, have been arrested at Crete. London, November 2. The Tunes to-day publishes a telegram stating that the Egyptian Government lias proposed that Arabi should be allowed to go into exile without beiiiL' tried, but that the English Govetfciment objects to such a course.
