[Received Oc tober 27th, 3pm] „ The Loss to the s.s. Peshawvr. Colombo, October 26. A CuiißT of enquiry has been held here into the collision which took place between the P. and 0. steamer Peshawar and the barque Glemoy. The finding lias been that the barque was to blame, and the captain's oei tificate been suspended for six months.
[Received Oetobci 27th, 1 45 p.m.] Threatened Revolution in France. Paris, October 23. The French Minister of Justice, in applying to-day for venue in the trial of a number of Socialist strikers, declared that he held the threads of evidence of a vas>t revolutionary organisation which is now penetrating France. 'His statement has caused much excitement throughout the country.
