NATIVE LANDS COURT, CAMBRIDGE.

Thursday.— (Before His Honor Judge Willliams.) Judgment having been given on the previous clay ie the Matanuku block, the list of names were submitted to the Court. Twenty seven names were admitted into the block, which contains 18,884 acres. An order was made by the Court for a certificate of title, for 1000 acres, to the Ngatiporoahu ; and for 2000 acres to the Ngati Ngarongo for reserves. The order for the remainder of the above (15,554 acres) was granted without restrictions.

X ESTBRDAY. lhe Court resumed again yesterday morning at the usual hour, when the Waotu block (about 20,000 acres) was brought forward for adjudication. The claim of Arakatera te Weia was first brought before the Court, aud was opposed by Maihi te Ngaru of Ngati Maihi Teßutuene'of Te Umanga, Apeuahama Rainntutia of Ngati Ataotu, Makuini of Ngali Tauira, Pareti te Rirituku of Ngati Ahiiru, Hoera te Mahiratu, of Ngati Titikoreha. Dr Bullcr is representing Arekatera te Wera, and Mr F. A. Whitaker ia representing European interests. Mr Maccrvegor Hay appeared on behalf of Mrs Eliza M. Hunter, but was requested by the Court to ascertain whether his client was a half-caste or a quarter-caste. Witnesses were being examined, when our report was sent. , _ ,
