Young Loud Derby took First Prize as a yearling at the Auckland Show, 1878, and First Prize as a two-year old in 1879. He was bred by A. and J. Anderson, of Kaniwhaniwha ; got by Lord Derby, who, when a colt before leaving Victoria, took a number o< First Prizes. He was bred by Mr A. Watson, High Bnnk Hill, Kyneton ; got by Champion oi Scoiiaiwl, t(\c wuiuei' of Firafc Prizes afc the Highland Society's Shows, [\ak[ at Edinburgh in IS6J). He was al^o the winner several times of the Champion Gold Medal at the principal Annual Shows in Victoria. Young Lord Derby's dam, Fanny, got by Northern Hero, out of Queen, an imported mare from Sydney. Young Lord Derby is a rich dark bay, stands 17-1 hands, and has proved a sure foal getter, and a grand temper. TERMS— Single Mare .C 2 10s ; two or more, as per agreement. Grazing, 2s per week. Wednesday— Whatawhata, and Hamilton same afternoon, stopping at Mr Johnson's btables for the night. Thursday— Holvouui and Taupiri for the night. Friday— Huntly and Ohinewai for the night. Saturday —Rangii iri. Terms— Siude Marcs, £2 10b ; two or more, £2 each. LOWDEN TAM— A rich brown colour, 1(K hands high, bred by W. Boag, Esq., Fendaltown, Canterbury. His dam, Blossom, winner of two prizes in Canterbury. Blossom's sire, Napoleon, whose stock has never suffered defeat by the progeny of any other sire vi New Zealand or Scotland.' His siie, the imported horse Prince Chailie, bied by James Nicol Fleming, Esq., whose stock is not equalled by any other breeder in Great Biitain. He i-> also brother to the champion horse of Scotland, the Prince of Wales, who has lately been sold foi £1000 to Mr L. Drew, of Merry ton Prince Charlie took fii&t prize in Chn&tchurch in 1872, bi-ating a Hold of eight competitors, six of them imported and all aged horses but one, he hiintolf being only three years old ; and the same day a special pi ize for the be&t animal on the giound. He also gained tho special prize of £o ss, given by Mr Bishop, Mayor oi Chiistcluuch. Lowden Tarn has proved himself a sure foal-getter, and his stock is second to none in the Colony, W. B. Thursday— To Cambridge. Friday — At home. Saturday — At Cambridge. Terms : Single mare, £4 4s ; two or more as per agreement, Pedigree in future issue. All mares left with the proprietor will be grazed one month free ; afterwards Is 6d per week will be charged. Every care taken, but no responsibility. Being a stranger in Waikato, and c»nsequently not knowing the settlers, I will be willing to call upon anyone wishing to use either of my horses, if they will leave address at any of my stopping places.
