RIFLE CONTEST. Waiuku v. Te Awamutu.

The rifle contest between a team of fifteen men of the Waiuliu Cavalry, and a team of fifteen of the A. Troop of the Waikato Cavalry was fired at Te Awamutu on Tuesday last. The weather wag favourable throughout the day. The contest resulted in a victory for Te Awamutu by seven points. The highest individual score was made by H . North, of the Te Awamutu band, who succeeded in scoring 64.
