The Command at Alexandria. London, September 27. Lieut.-General Sir Henry Wylie Noiman, of the Bengal army, is likely to bt> left in command of the forces in Alexandria. Return of General Wolseley.— Admiral Seymour and Sir Garnet Wolseley to have the Freedom of the City of London.— England and the Porte.— Tantah Garrisoned. London, September 28. Sir Garnet Wolseley is expected to resume his home duties as Quarter-master General on the Ist November. The Corporation of the City of London has resolved to present its freedom to General Sir G. Wolseley and Admiral Sir Beauchamp Seymour. The former will also receive a gold casket and the latter a sword. Lord Dufi'erin has, on behalf of England, replied to the Forte's note, and has given such assurances as have entirely satisfied the Poi te as to the intentions of England in Egypt. Tantah lias been garrisoned by two companies of English troops.
