The Army of Occupation.—Trial of the Rebels.—Baker Pasha.—lllness of the Commanders. Alkxandkta, September 26. Iv consequence of the opinion expressed by Sir Gamut Wolseley, that a, force of 10,000 British troops will no\r be sufficient to ensure tlie m.iintenance of order in this country, ordeis have been issued for the immediate re-embarkation of the three battalions of the Indian contingent. The remaining battalions will return to tliefr respective stations shortly.
Alexandria, September 27. Courts-martial have been appointed by the Khedive to hold sittings at Cairo, and in this city, to try cases which may be submitted by the special commission of European and native officers appointed to prosecute those who were guilty of outrages against Europeans during the rebellion.
Constantinople, September 27. Baker Pasha sailed to-day for Egypt to undeitake the reorganisation of the Egyptian army. He left without waiting for the consent of the Sultan.
