Auckland, Last Night. The Lyttle Bigamy Case. At the Police Court to-day, the case of John Lyttle, described as a blacksmith, and charged with marrying Miss Willows at Wangauui in TBSO, his former wife being then and still ali ve, came up for hearing. The two marriages were clearly proved against prisoner, and he was cpt»mitted to stand his trial at next sessions of the Supreme Court.
Larceny. Mrs Allen, the wife of a draper in Victoria-street, has been arrested on a charge of stealing drapery from various shops.
A Bough Character. A man named Wintle has been arrested for drawing a revolver, and threatening to shoot another in the AurorajHotel.
.Narrow Escape. , A woman named Catherine Kelly narrowly escaped death on the Kaipar.l railway. She was on the track crossing a bridge, when a train ,came and the cowcatcher threw her off.
