Adyance of the British— Capture of , TelrEl-Keliir. — Retreat of the Enemy. London, September 13. Sib Garnet Wolseley nas concentrated all his forces to make a decisive advance on the enemy. The whole strength of the British army takes part in the movement, and the forces have advanced on both sides of the canal, while a- flank movement of great strength is being - made to cut off the enemy's retreat on Zagazig. The destruction or capture of Arabi's whole force is considered certain. The excitement in Alexandria is intense ; all attention being absorbed by the event, any trade being completely at a standstill. Alexandria, September 13. News has been received that the British army under Sir Garnet Wolseley left the camp at Kassassin yesterday, to advance against the enemy. Every man under arms was furnished with one hundred rounds of ammunition. The force marched some distance in the direction of Tel-el-Kebir, and ' at dusk the order was given to bivouac for the night. At 2 a.m. the advance was resinned, and it is expected that the enemy's position will be reached shortly, and that the attack will be made under the cover of darkness. Later. The British troops advanced from Kassassin last night, reaching Tel-el-Kebir at 4.30 this morning. The enemy's position was carried, forty guns and a large number of prisoners being captured. The enemy is now in full retreat.
