LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. YESTERDAY'S SITTING.

Wellington, Last Night. The Oraki Native Reserve Bill was read a second time. The Public Health Act, IS7B, Amendment Bill, Patents Act Amendment Bill, and Gold Duties Act Amendment Bill were read a second time and passed. The Rangiora Domain Board Empowering Bill, Counties Bill, and a number of private and local bills were read a second time. The Council agreed, on the motion of Mr McLean, that the case of ex-Detec-ti\ c Farrcli should be referred to the Government for consideration. A number of small bills were passed through the Council, and the Council adjourned from 5 till 7.30.
