The Barque Cabarfeidh. Stone Bross. have received information that the barque Cabarfeidh, reported ashore at Kaipara last evening, has been got off and brought to Shelly Beach, near Helensville. Captain Ohlson thinks that with the exception of slight drmage to her rudder, the vessel has sustained very little injury.
Annexation of Ponsonby to the City. Mr Peacock has telegraphed to the Mayor that the proclamation bringing Ponsonby within the city, was gazetted yesterday. By this stroke the population of Auckland is increased by at least 5,000 souls.
