ACCIDENTS AT CAMBRIDGE.
A somewhat serious accident befell a man named Thomas Falleran, when riding home from Cambridge on Saturday night last. Mr Palleran, who is a ploughman at Walker's station, got somewhat inebriated when in town during the evening, and insisted on riding home though incapable of doing so. He had not got many yards from town when he fell heavily to the ground on his head. When picked up by some people who were near at the time, he was found to be insensible. He was removed to a neighbouring house and Dr. Cuslmey, who war called, on examination, found the unfortunate man to be suffering from concussion of the brain. The wound was dressed, but the patient still lies in a critical state. Another man, somewhat under the influence of drink, was found lying in the street in Cambridge by Constable Brennan on the same evening with a deep cut on the back of his head. He was attended to by Dr. Cushney who dressed the wound, and the man is now safe from danger.
