Arrival of the Duke of Edingburgh. at Alexandria. Alkxandria, Aug. 10. The Duke of Edingburgh, who is in command of one of the brigades of the British expeditionary forces, and General Sir John Adye, Chief of the Staff, arrived here to day. The British AgentGeneral, Sir E. B. Malet, has also arrived here.

Embarkation of Troops for Egypt. London, August 10. The embarkation of the various regiments, under orders for service in Egypt, is now nearly completed ; transports are being despatched daily for the East.

Gladstone on the Egyptian Crisis, London*, August 10. The Right Hou. XV. E. Gladstone made a speech at a banquet atthe Mansion House last night, in the course of which he referred at length to the Egyptian crisis. He stated that England was going to Egypt with clear hands as she had no secret intention in regard to that country ciud desired to maintain interests which are identical with those of the whole civilised world.

Arrival of Turkish Troops at Sunda Bay. Constantinople, August 9. Intelligence is to hand from Crete to the effect that the transports with the first detachment of Turkish troops are arriving at Sunda Bay, and are awaiting orders from the Porte.

Draft of Convention Submitted to Conference. A draft of a convention between England and Turkey has been submitted to the Conference. It provides that Arabi aud his chief supporters shall forthwith be proclaimed rebels. Allusion is made to the friendly relations existing between England and Turkey, and the latter undertakes to support the Khedive.

Confidence Restored in Alexandria. Alexandria, August 9. All is now quiet in this city, perfect confidence has been restored, and business generally is beiug resumed.

Turkish Troops under orders for Egypt. Constantinople, August 10. A force of six thousand Turkish troops is now under orders for Egypt, and will proceed to-day.

Arrangements for Transport of British Troops fdr Egypt Complete. London, August 10. At the Mansion House banquet last night Mr Childers, Secretary for War, in the course of a speech which lie made, said that all preparations for the despatcli of troops to Egypt were complete, the necessary transports had been chai'tered, and from to-day detachments of troops would leave daily.
