The House met at 7.30. Mr Sotton continued the debate. He expressed regret that Government had not seen its way to keep out of the money market ior another year. He was not enamoured of the loan proposed, but lie could not give a vote to oust the present Ministry in favor of one to be formed from the present Opposition. Mr Bathgatk defended the administration of the Grey Government. He strongly opposed the loan proposals. Mr Wilson would vote tor the second reading of the bill, but try and get the schedules altered.* Mr Coxnhlly strongly supported the Government policy, especially in regard to the completion ot the main trunk lines. (Left Sitting.)
