[ AGE SPECIALS.] The Porte to Assist.—ltaly sends a Contingent.—A Brush with the Enemy. — Fenians with Arabi Pasha.
London, July 25th. Sir C. W. Dilke stated in the House of Commons to-day that the Porte had agreed to send troops to Egypt, and that the conditions of occupation would be discussed by the Conference to-morrow. It is notified that Italy accepts the invitation of the Powers to co-operate in the protection of the Suez Canal. One Italian contingent of 5,000 men is mobilising.
4.15 a.m. Six thousand of the enemy were repulsed while attacking the British outposts. It is reported that some Fenians are with Arabi Pasha. j A number of marines have been landed I at Port Said. The Porte's decision to comply with the request of the Powers will not affect the British occupation of Egypt.
