The Hakaramata Road.
The mountain road is in a deplorable state, more especially on the Waipa side. Owing to the heavy traffic from the lime kilns it has become so bad that even the bullock teams of the lime burners have now to give it best. -If something in the way of metalling this portion of 'ihe 'road be not done this cominj? summer,— Raglan will be as much shut in as it was previous to the making of thi^ road over .the,mountain; it would not bp Verjf Je T x|p'efi^i\{e, as metal suitable for the work can be got along the road 1/ !Travellers-uowi,byf\vay of avoiding the most 'cut /up portions of the road should taka theold^ridle ty-ack over that part of the falige.— (A ' (Correspondent, July 17th.)
