TE AWAMUTO CHEESE AND BACON FACTORY COMPANY.

A MEKTIXC4 of the clhectoi-s was held on Saturday evening for the purpose of opening tenders for the erection of the factory and manager's residence. The tender of Messrs Thomas, Allen and Maunders, -C3OS 10s, was accepted for[the factory buildings, and that of Mr James Mandeno, £157 10s for the manager's residence. The contractors met the mauageryesterday, aud fixed on the sites for the buildings. Fending the erection of the 1 uildings, the directors have rented a four-roomed cottage for Mr Walpole, situated close to the company's property. The directors have been very successful in disposing of the shares. Mr Bridgman while in Auckland the other day sold 800, and the total number of shares now placed is about 3000.
