Auckland, Last Night. At the City East Licensing Court, today, the license of the Globe Hotel was only granted on condition that a new house should be erected. The other licenses postponed from last bitting were grauted.
Professor Swallow. Mr Lennox made a definite offer of £40 to the creditois of Mr Martin Swallow for their agreement to the debtor's discharge. The trustee has received the note, and is endeavouring to ascertain the minds of his clients with regard to it.
Share Market. On 'Change to-day Waiheke sold at 3s ; Deep Level, Is ; Union Sash and Door Company, £S 10s ; Loan and Mercantile, £(j 3s.
The Accident at Otahuhu. Mr Frone, the farmer who was found injured in the streets of Otahuhu after the Franklin election, is in a critical state in the hospital. It is feared that peritonitis may set in.
The Late Suicide. Owing to the peculiar nature of the verdict returned at the inquest yesterday, the Naval Brigade band was not allowed by the ofhuerb to attend the funeial of Harry Foreman, and have the remains in ten ed with military honors. The funeial cortege was a large and respectable one.
