Auckland, Last Night. '^ctekixtendant Thomson was a passenjger from Melbourne, per Rotorua, but was unable to bring the prisoner Harjes with him from Adelaide, owing to the insolvency proceedings now pending against him there before the Chief Justice. H.M.S. Nelson. The master of the cutter Maggie, reports having seen H.M.S. Nelson between Cape Colville and the Great Barrier on Saturday afternoon, between twelve and one o'clock, she was engaged in gun practice, and afterwards steamed past fort Charles.
Nearly half a million sacks of potatoes have been imported into New York from Europe since the beginning of the year.
