Te Wheoio has just leceived a wire from Tawhiao and Wahanui, from Alexandra, requesting that Mokau be "tied up" and made unalienablc, as Wetere insists on it going through the court. Te Wheoro lias gone to see the Government on the matter. Sbanmore Election. The writ for Stanmore was sent to Christchurch this afternoon. It is> returnable within 40 days. Sleepers for the Morrinsville Line. The Public Works Department have accepted Watson's tender for the supply of .10,000 sleepers, at £7 9s Gd.
