[PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Last Night.

This morning a man named George Champion was found dead at the bottom of a precipice on the Pahauranga line. His horse and trap were also found in the gully, and it is supposed that in the darkness he mistook the road. An inquest will be held. It is understood that H.M.S. Nelson will leave on Monday next for Lytteltou, and the Miranda on Monday or Tuesday for Fiji, the latter conveying His Excellency, Sir Arthur Gordon.
