THE TI2IARU DISASTER. (BY TELEGRAPH. — PRESS ASSOCIATION.)

Timaru, Thursday. The steamer Waitaki will be employed to-morrow to tow off the ship City of Perth, which is quite cifloat. No more bodies have been recovered. The inquiry into the wreck of the Benvenue was commenced to-day. The sale of the wreck takes place to-morrow. It is still a question whether more persons were not drowned on Sunday last than was telegraphed. In order to gain further infounation, all who went out m the various boats have been requested to meet to-morrow to compare notes. By this means it is hoped to ascertain exactly who are missing.
