LATEST AUCKLAND NEWS. [BY TELEGRAPH. — OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Auckland, Last Night.

In reference to the alleged robbery of a purse containing some £18 at a boardinghouse in Grey-street, called Woodbine Cottage, carried on by Mrs Hastings, it is stated that the missing article and cash intact was found this morning in the house, where it had evidently been mislaid. Mrs Briedlaw, of Te Awamutu, who was admitted to the Hospital suffering with a dislocation of the shoulder, sustained by a fall from a horse a month previous to her admission, is now in a fair way to recovery. The muscles of the arm had contracted to such an extent that a block and tackle bad to be brought into requisition to get the arm into its normal position. Prospectors in the neighbourhood of Coromandel have discovered rich veins of plumbago a short distance from the township, and close to a good road. The prospectors are not in a position to determine the extent of the find, but suppose from the outcrop that it is extensive. The prospectors have determined to open out as soon as they have made the arrangements necessary to enable them to work the ground to advantage. A new schooner of 50 ton« named " Fairy Queen," built to order for Capt. Garraway for the Island trade, was launched to-day by Sims and Brown.

The search parties have all returned to Coromandel without finding any trace, of Lieut. Zurn. The weather was fearful, and it was very difficult to get through the bush. It is now four days since he left Mr Luk's store. The search parties start out again to-day.
