London, April 26. The Home Secretary has under consideration further affidavits forwarded by President Arthur in support of the alleged insanity of Dr Lamson, the Wiinbleton murderer. After full inquiry Sir Vernon Harcourt has clecided that the appeals made on behalf of the prisoner cannot be entertained, and it is definitely fixed that the sentence of death shall be carried out on Friday next, the 28th. A larga number of royal and other distinguished personages have arrived at Windsor Castle, as the guests of Her Majesty on the occasion of the marriage of Prince Leopold, the festivities in connection with which have commenced. The Order of the Garter was to-day conferred upon she King of Holland by the at Windsor Castle.
Queen London, April 27. The Garrone's cargo of mutton realised 4^ per lb. The portion which arrived in bad condition had apparently been frozen hastily before shipment at Melbourne.
