WELLINGTON, Yesterday.
Preparations are being matle for repaiting the cable steamer Agnes, which will leave for the Straits at daylight for the purpose of picking up the cable. The Wellington racing club endorsed the disqualification of Hand wick and his owner for ever, and Williams, who rode him, for two years. An official announcement has been received from the legation of Jeddo, that the Japanese man-o-war, Tsukuba, is about to visit the colonies, with the object of practicing in navigation. The legation asks that any reasonable assistance may be given to the visitors on her arrival in these waters. A despatch has been received from Home announcing that the Queen assents to the reserved bill entituled an act to amend the Divorce and Matrimonial Causes Act, 1837.
