PATEA, Last Night.
Tile Court of Inquiry into the wreck of the Patea ileliveLecl decision to-day. It cautioned the mate forj>revarication in his evidence, 1 but returned his certificate. It blamed Capt. Edwards for not obeying the signals, not sounding in crossing bar, not taking means to secure his vessel after grounding, and not using proper care, flis certificate was suspended for three months. Wood was severely blamed for signalling to take bar too soon, and for negligence but Court could not punish him.
