RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT, HAMILTON.
Yesterday.—(Before Mr H. W. Northcroft, 'R.M., and' His Worship the Mayor. ' ' 1 Neighbours' Squabbles. Elizabeth Wall, a married woman living near "No 1 Bridge, Hamilton' West, was charged with committing an ( assault on one Ellen Hunter,',a near neighbour, by striking her on the f head and arms with a piece of firewood.. .There 'was a' cross action,, in Vhicli' Mrs Hunter' was charged witjti. striking Mrs" Wall. After hearing the'evidence of two other, women who were present* at the time of the .occurrence, the Bench fined Mrs Wall 10s, with 10s costs", and,,bound( tier, over to keep the peace for a period' ,of twelve months, herself ' in' £50," and in two sureties of '£10 each.
