CAMBRIDGE TOWN SURVEY.
During the hon Mr Rolleston's visit to Cambridge on Thursday last Mr T. Wells interviewed him re the town survey. Mr Rolleston informed Mr Wells that the town survey of Cliristclmrch and several other towns had beeo defined by the local governing body paying one-half and the Government the other half. Mr Wells pleaded the impecunious condition of the local board, which consequently entitled it to special consideration. Mr Rolleston requested that a formal application should be sent to Wellington, when the matter would be considered.
