London, March 2g.—-Consols rcm.itn at ioii. New Zealand securities arc at yesterday's quotations. Adelaide wheat, e\ w.irchousc, is unchanged, at S4S 6d, cind New Zealand ditto at 51s. Adelaide flour, e\ store, has declined is, »nd is quoted to-day at 375. 6d. Australian tallow: Best beof is, 39s 6d; best mutton, 4|S 6d.
LONDON WOOL MARKET. At the wool sale to-d.iy 7300 bales, were catalogued. The tone of the sale was again hrtn. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited), have received the following cablegram from their London office, djted March 28 : — The wool competition is increasing, and quotations are an average of id to ij per lb. better than as at the opening sales. Up to date 227,000 bales have been sold, and 125,000 balco have been taken for export. The sale programme has been cm tailed by four days. Lonjj Staple merino, light in grease, washed, and scoured, -arc farmer. Long staple merino heavy in grease, is easier. Fine cross-bred market is easier. The next sales are limited to 250,000 bales, and will commence on May 16 Advices have been received of short supplies from Australia.
