Paris, March 8. Telegrams are to hand from Tunis reporting that bodies of insurgents have recently committed several raids in various parts of the country, and that a provision train was looted, and a number of Italian and British subjects, who were passengers, have been killed.

London, March 8. Intelligence is to hand from Morocco that a severe conflict has taken place at Figuz Fighig (a town near the Algerian frontier), between bodies of Moorish soldiery and the French troops. No information as to the cause of the encounter or its results has yet been received. The Irish Judges of Assize, in their addresses to juries at the opening of the Courts yesterday, again took occasion to lament the alarming continuance of agrarian crime in Ireland, and the fact that in many instances the perpetrators of outrages remain undetected. W. JB. Hughes, Liberal member for Carnarvon, is dead. Telegrams are to hand announcing that Mr Evans, the special correspondent of the Manchc&ter Guardian, has been arrested at Ragusa, for alleged collusion with the Dalmatian insurgents. He is now confined in gaol.

Berlin, March 8. The Prussian Parliament has rejected the Bill which was introduced by the Government for enlarging the scope of the Law of July, 1880, a measure passed for the subordination of the Protestant and Roman Catholic clergy to the State.
