TO THE EDITOR. .Sin,— Will you do me the favor to make a correction with regard to the "statement" appearing in your issue of Saturday. The date of the telegram icceived from Colonel Lyon should lie "sth October, 1S80," not "Apiil 10th, 1880." The amount claimed to be due, appears in a columnar form, as under — Per man, in respect of the drill, November, ISSO . £4 10 0 Per man, in respect of the drill, April, ISSO, JCI 10s, less paid £2 2s 2 8 0 Per man, capitation for year ending May, 1579 2 10 0 Per mrm, capitation for year ending May, 18S0 . . . 2 10 0 til IS 0 N.B.— The B and C Troops are, of coinsp, c(|ii.illy entitled with the A Troop. The .statement made to the lion, the Defcuco Minister was, however, so submitted to him, m consequence of a resolution to that cflcct, passed at a meeting of the last-named troop. — I am, etc., Thomvs GisuMi v.M.
