THE ROTORUA ROAD. Arrival of Constabulary. [BY TELEGRAPH.] Auckland, Last Night.
.The Government steamer Stella arrived in the Manukau from Opunake at 11 a.m. to-day, with 100 men of the Armed Constabulary. A special train, consisting of four carriages and three baggage waggons, left the wharf, conveying the detachment with their equipage to Waikato. The Stella left again tor Opunake half-an-hour after arrival, and is expected to reach here again on Sunday morning with the balance.
The detachment arrived at Ngaruawahia yesterday evening, and were transhipped into the steamer Delta, which took them to Cambridge last night Capt. Oapel was in command.
