WELLINGTON, Night. The old post-offico here was abandoned by the Department yesterday, and its demolition will commence to-morrow, preparatory to commencing the erection of the new brick building. The Government schooner Dohimoiaua on her way from Auckland to Stewart Island to enforce protection of the seal fisheries, is undergoing a thorough overhaul here. A sergeant and two police officers leave here to-night for Port Underwood, it is understood with a view of making certain arrests there in connection with a mysterious robbery which occurred here some time ago. Jem Mace is arranging a private subscription sparring exhibition here.
