The weather was glorious for the second day's racing, and the attendance was good. The first race did. not start till 1.30 p.m.
TALLY-HO HANDICAP, Of 60 soys. Over seven hurdles. Rocket 1 Trovatore 2 Four started, Clarence being scratched. A good race resulted in Forster's Rocket having the best of it, winning by two lengths from Trovatore, who came past the post under punishment, Quamby third, Isaac a good forth. Time, 2min. B£secs. Of £1,048 in the totalisator, £368 was on the winning horse.
