PUKERIMU.

Harvesting in this district has been accomplished satisfactorily and with, great '.dispatch. As an ' illustration of this it may be mentioned "that an extensive and fine crop of wheat belonging to the Messrs Scott, which, about three weeks ago, was waving untouched in the field, noSy lies in Mr Hally's Mill ready to be converted into flour. Mr Hally has been buying largely in the district, and is much pleased with the quality of the grain. The result of the wheat harvest here tor the last two seasons has been veiy encouraging to the producer- 1 . This year a much gi eater breadth was sown than formerly, and, judging from the appearance of the standing crop, the .average yield should not fall short of forty bushels.
