CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night.
Information has been received that a large number of English, German, French, and Belgium pictures has been secured for the Art Gallery Exhibition, and it has been found necessary to further enlarge the buildings. Two cottages near the Lunatic Asylum were destroyed by fire on Saturday. James Wright and his wife Margaret, who occupied one of them, have been arrested on a charge of arson.
