WELLINGTON, Last Night.
The first of a series of carbine matches between the" Wellington Artillery and the other artillery corps throughout the colony commenced this morning. In the match between Wellington and Nelson, the former won by 25 points. The ship Loch Ryan, from Sydney, was admitted to pratique to-day. The Wakatipu arrived from Sydney at one o'clock this morning, proceeded to the quarantine ground, and was admitted to pratique at noon. She has four passengers, two saloon and two steerage, who were quarantined. Among those quarantined is Jim Mace, the expugilist, of Melbourne. Robert Roper, a steerage passenger, disappeared. It is supposed thai he iell overboard.
