HAMILTON DOMAIN BOARD
A meeting of the above Board was held in the Borough Council Chambers on Monday evening last. Present : Messrs. Knox, (chairman), Jones, Hill, McGarrigle, Gaudin, Bradley, Lovett, and Tippen. A letter from Major Tisdall, Inspector of Audit, certifying to the correctness of the board's accounts was read and received. — Letters were also read from Messrs. W. Cumming and T. G. Sande,s in reference to the drainage of Lots 45 and 46 of the 'domain lands in Hamilton East. The Secretary reported that tenders had been called for this work, resulting as follows :— J. Hinton, £28 Us 8d; Matthew Walsh, £20, (accepted.)— A letter from Mr S. T. Seddon, containing specification and suggestion re the construction of the outlet drain of the, domain lands was fully considered, and the secretary was instructed to call for tenders for the work in accordance with the plans forwarded by Mr Seddon — The secretary laid a report on the table shewing the amount of overdue rents was £14 0s 3d. It was unanimously resolved that unless all overdue rents be paid by next monthly meeting the leases should be forfeited.— A committee consistnWof Messrs Hill and Tippen, who had b<Jen appointed to consider the necessity of forming a road to Mr Kerry's property in Hamilton East, brought up their report, recommending that the road should be made for a width of twelve feet. The report of the committee was adopted, and the secretary instructed to call for tenders for the work — This concluded the proceedings.
