LATEST AUCKLAND NEWS. [BY TELEGRAPH.] Auckland, Last Night.

Abrived — Hero, s.s., from Sydney. Tawhiao's secretary returned to Waikato this morning, after visiting Coromandel for the purpose of inviting the natives there to attend the March meeting at Kopua. Fever appears to be increasing steadily in Auckland, and at the present time there are nine cases under treatment in the Hospital alone, some being typhoid and others scarlet. Four members of a family named Rees were ( admitted from Onehnnga about a fortnight ago. One girl, aged twelve years, died immediately afterwards. Another girl, three years old, belonging to the same family, died on Monday night. A man named George Kelly arrived at the Hospital yesterday, from Awitu, suffering from typhoid fever.
