LA TEST WELLINGTON NEWS . [BY TELEGRAPH.] Wellington, Last Night.
The Colonial Treasurer will leave for the South next week, ami will spend about one month in travelling in various parts of the island. Mr Bryce will leave for Auckland, via the We3t Coast, to-morrow morning. He proceeds overland, and it is understood that on his arrival at Auckland he will have a interview with Tawhiao. At the Magistrate's Court to-day, John Edwards, steward of the ship Waitara, was fined £100 on a charge of smuggling four boxes of cigars.
