Deputations to the Premier. Auckland, Last Night.

The Premier has been engaged all clay with departmental work. To-morrow he will be interviewed by Mr Cadman, M.H.R., anil also by a deputation representing the Congregational Union. In the afternoon lie wilt accompany the hon. Mr Whitaker to his residence, at the Lake, returning on Monday morning. On Monday afternoon he is to leave for the North, and will probably be away for a week or so. Sir G. Grey, Major Harris, and Messrs Tole, Sheehan and Cadman proceeded to the Minister's office at the appointed hour, but only to find that Mr Hall had left. The interview has now been postponed till to-morrow morning. The Premier will also be urged to defer releasing the Otago runs iiutil Parliament has been opened.
