PUBLIC HOLIDAY. TO HIS WORSHIP THE MAYOR OF HAMILTON,— We, the undersigned business people and other burgesses, respectfully request that you would cause TUESDAY NEXT, the 31st inst., to be PROCLAIMED as a PUBLIC HOLIDAY within the precincts of the Borough, in consequence of the visit of the English cricketers to the Waikato. DELTA, having been specially chartered for the occasion, will leave Ngaruawahia for the Cricket Match at 6 o'clock a.m., and Hamilton at 8.15 a.m., carrying the Hamilton Band, returning on completion of the match.
