SALE OF GWYNNELAND.
The unsold portion of Mr A. A. Fanthams property, known as Gwynneland, and formerly owned and occupied by Mr William Reynolds, now of Pukekurai was disposed' of by Mr J. S. Buckland, at the Cambridge Public Hall, on Friday last. There was a fair attendance of buyers, but the prices obtained did not come up to general expectation. The highest price was £20, and the lowest £4 10s. The average, including the racecourse, was, however, not altogether unsatisfactory, being something between -Ell and £12 per acre. The following were the lots, with names of purchaserß, disposed of on Friday :— Lot 1, 3a lr 26p, £20 per acre, John Arnold ; lot 2, 9a 2r lOp, £13, J. Arnold ; lot 3, 23a 3r 27p, £11, J. Arnold ; lot 4, 33a Or 36p (including the homestead), £14, E. B. Reynolds ; lot 5, 50a, £7 ss, Forrest and Arnold ; lot 6, 101 a, £8 os, G. E. Clark ; lot 9, 60a, £6, J. C. F. Bell ; lot 10, 33a, £4 10s, John Kirkwood._ Lot 7, 124 a lr, has been purchased privately for the racecourse at £20 per acre, and lot 8, 331 a, was bought privately, previous to the sale, by Mr J. S. Buckland.
