'A^Ebutee's telegram, received per Rptomahana "at the Bluff, dated London, 3rd I January, reports :— A cutastrophe is reported to have occurred at Oskabloosa, m the United States, A number of boys were practising shooting at a target in the vicinity of^a powder^ magazine near the town. By some meanaT probably, as is supposed, by a misdirected shot entering r the place the . magazine containing several hundred kegs of powder - exploded. * The -shook' -was Iterrific; the boys were killed, and the town wrecked. Many buildings were absolutely destroyed. Several persons were injured, the shock having been felt with great force a, considerable distance from the actual scene.
