CAMBRIDGE WESLEYAN SUNDAY SCHOOL.

The annual meeting of the teachers of the Cambridge Wesleyan Sunday School was held in the church on Monday evening, the Her. Henry Bull in the chair. Mr G. D. Hunter and Miss Davis were received by transfer from other Wesleyan schools, and Misses Booth and Hannon were received on trial for teachers. Votes of thanks were passed to Messi's Sharp, Henson, Graham, and Raynes in connection with the late picnic. Votes of thanks were also passed to the superintendent, Mr G. Smerdon ; the secretary, Mr John Houghton, junr. ; and the librarian, Mr F. Jones, lor their services during the past yeai\ On the motion of Mr Henry Buttle, seconded by Mr C. D. Mackintosh, Mr Smerdon was elected superintendent of the morning school for the ensuing year ; and on the motion of Mr Mackintosh, seconded by Mr Smerdon, Mr Buttle was elected afternoon superintendent. On the motion of Mr Moore, Mr F. Jones was elected secretary and librarian. The election of treasurer was deferred until the accounts were passed in connection with the annual picnic. The school classes were re-arranged, and some new appointments made. Mr Mackintosh was appointed to conduct the young men's bible class, and Miss Alford , re-appointed teacher of the young women's bible class. Miss Nixon was appointed organist for the morning, and Mrs Mackintosh for the afternoon. Mr R. Davies was elected vice-president of the Band of Hope, and Mr Moore i*e-elected secretary, a vote of thanks having been presented for his past services. Arrangements were made for the holding of regular quarterly teachers' meetings, and a form of procedure in connection therewith was agreed upon. Mr Mackintosh mentioned several matters which he thought would be conducive to the . welfai'e of the school, such as Sunday afternoon teachers' prayer meetings, and occasional addresses to the scholars. It was agreed to adopt these suggestions. Arrangements having been made for the anniversary concert, the meeting was closed with the benediction.
